Rogeon romps to third win of the season in GB3 race three

08 September 2024

Rodin Motorsport’s Arthur Rogeon claimed his third GB3 Championship race win of the year with a lights to flag triumph in the concluding race at Donington Park.

The Frenchman was followed by Elite’s McKenzy Cresswell throughout, who claimed his first podium of the weekend, ahead of Hitech's Will Macintyre in third, who jumped onto the podium after Colin Queen was penalised for track limits violations.

JHR's John Bennett was another driver to benefit, ending his weekend in fourth ahead of Rodin's Freddie Slater, who resisted teammate and championship leader Louis Sharp throughout the contest.

Sharp though still finished ahead of title rival Tymek Kucharczyk (Hitech), with Fortec's Queen dropping to eighth on the final classification, ahead of Hitech's Gerrard Xie and Hillspeed's Aditya Kulkarni, who matched his best result of the season.

Rogeon made a great start to head the field down to Redgate on the first lap, and gradually built a lead from there. The margin stood at seven tenths of a second for the early part of the race, before upping the pace late on to set the fastest race lap of the weekend, crossing the line 2.3 seconds clear of the field. He now has wins at the Hungaroring, Silverstone and Donington Park to climb up the standings.
