Ferrari will make a long awaited full-time return to the British GT Championship this season, courtesy of Duncan Cameron, Matt Griffin and Spirit of Race. The 296 GT3, which will be run by AF Corse in a green livery, is the first of the series’ entry announcements for 2025.

The duo, who were also responsible for Maranello’s last British GT3 start back in 2020, have previously won six races together and claimed a best series finish of third back in 2010. And their return to the fray at Donington will mark the Prancing Horse’s first appearance since Snetterton five years ago.

The season also marks a significant milestone for the duo, who will have raced all five Ferrari GT3 models – including the previous 488, 458 Italia, F430 Scuderia and first-generation F430 – together in British GT.

“There aren’t too many places we haven’t raced a Ferrari together, but it all began in British GT and I’m looking forward to being back in the paddock this year,” said Cameron. “We didn’t quite manage to win with the 488 but very much intend to give the 296 its first victory in the UK. It’s an unknown quantity here, which could play to our advantage.”

Griffin, meanwhile, remains sixth on British GT’s all-time winners list thanks to the eight class victories he scored prior to claiming six more outright with Cameron.

“We know the car, we know the team and we certainly know each other!” he said. “We have to get up to speed on the Pirellis but otherwise we are really hoping to make a splash this year with what is a very capable car. That’s proven by the 296 GT3 claiming 100 wins all over the world in its first season of competition last year. We’d dearly like to add to that tally and also improve on our third place championship finish from 2010.”
