MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) is to host a special, one-off race event for 1920s Bentley machinery as part of its MSVR Club Car Championships event on the National circuit this weekend (Sunday 16 April).
The Benjafield's Bentley Challenge will feature a pair of 15-minute races, exclusively for cars from the iconic sports car manufacturer built between 1923 and 1929. The races have been organised as preparation for the Benjafield's Le Mans Centenary Race which is billed to form part of the Le Mans Classic line-up later this summer.
Both the race in France and this weekend's double-header will celebrate the spirit of the 'Bentley Boys' and the marques successes at the endurance classic during the late '20s. The star cars on show will include Bentley 3 Litre Sports, 4.5 Litre Tourers and Speed-Sixes.
These races take their name from Dr Dudley 'Benjy' Benjafield, who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1927 before going on to found the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC).
